Chapter Four-Hundred-Nine – Representatives
Laurel and Thales walked down the cottage as they discussed.
"Well, from what I've heard, it was a Grand Witch that placed the curse, one of our ancient ones actually."
Laurel wondered if that meant that he couldn't lift the curse. Even if it seemed it couldn't affect she and Stefan, which made her surprisingly happy, the curse was still a problem for her son and future generations. She didn't want to ignore the problem.
"Well, the direct descendants of that wold had been cursed to lose their mates because the man had refused marrying the witch when she got pregnant. The man claimed he already had a pregnant mate so the poor lady was cursed to die after birthing his child."
Laurel's fists clenched. And so the deaths of many mothers of her bloodline had been dying when their children were still so young!
