The truth lay bare to Stefan and it ate him deep. He really couldn't give Laurel anything, she had given herself all the things she wanted without needing him.
That's why he always wanted to be needed by her but it wasn't enough. "Y-You have a p-point there… Cade."
Cade said nothing. Why was the Alpha stuttering? Was he considering making the Princess the Queen? It'd be against her wish so it's best not to house such thought.
"Alpha, no matter what happens, we should let the Princess decide this for herself. I doubt she'd want to have anything to do with the lycan King and that elder would've to back down if she's not interested."
Again, Stefan thought about how Laurel's decision would barely have any effect if the King really wanted her, but he left it to himself.
