The door to Laurel's room was knocked on and she rolled out of bed and fell to the ground. Her joints till hurt from doing push-ups till late in the night.
On getting to her feet, her senses became alert. She caught scent of Bebe and hurried to the door. "Hey—"
"Princess," Bebe squeezed her in a hug, "have you been alright? Did that bastard do anything to you?"
Laurel said nothing and kept on looking ahead. She rubbed Bebe's head and replied. "What sort of things do you think he'd do to a Princess, Bebe?"
She narrowed her eyes at Asher, who leaned on the wall behind Bebe. Laurel couldn't feel his presence and felt impressed with how well he could mask it.
Despite Bebe's confusion, Laurel pushed her into the room when Asher left the wall. He had heard Bebe call him bastard so Laurel didn't want him hurting her.
