Asher found it amusing when Laurel stuck by Thales' side. She'd been locking herself in her room all the time but the moment she knew he came, she snuck out.
He had mind linked Nero to let her leave and he expected her to follow him, that was the reason he came around her room in the first place.
Truthfully, he got bored after Slime left and the attack at his lab dampened his mood, so he hadn't played with the Princess as planned.
Then the threat from Lunaria came, further making him busy, so he planned to either keep the princess close till he's bored or send her back and make her return later.
He looked at the notices on his table and saw one from Black Claws Pack. He picked it up. "You people really dote on your Princess. That's why she's so spoilt."
He guessed the letter from Black Claws would be about releasing the Princess but it took a rather annoying turn.
