Chapter Three Hundred-Twelve – Reachable
The wind brought in a large dried leaf which perched on Stefan's face. A maid knocked on the door and on opening his eyes and seeing the world dark, Stefan felt convinced another calamity had befallen him.
He rose up from the bed and his sight returned, a sigh left him. Maybe he's the one creating problems for himself.
The maid served him hot tea and snacks he'd never seen before. Recently, he felt like they've been trying their hands on different things and using him as a test subject.
They always asked, 'what do you think, sir?' with a fake smile whenever they returned to take the empty dishes away.
So he had decided to eat morning meals at Sorren's place where he'd be sure of no running stomach hours later.
He gestured for the maid to take the snacks away and he noticed her little pout as she did. He gulped down the tea quickly and winced when it burned his skin a little.
