Chapter Two Hundred-Ninety-Eight – In His Room
Laurel paced about the room, looking out the window occasionally. Things hadn't turned out as planned last night after Thales appearance.
It wasn't like it was a total mess, just that…. she looked around her… she didn't expect to spend the night in the palace…. and with how it looked, the King's room.
She thought he'd be too stunned to speak or move but the moment she tried leaving, he sped to her and ordered the rest to go alone.
His countenance at that point sent shivers down her officials' spine and even if Laurel didn't know how Thales felt at that point, he accepted and left with the rest.
She also had no clue if the spies succeeded yesterday but she knew for sure that if they did Thales would be associated with it because he arrived late.
