Chapter Two Hundred-Ninety-Three – Arrive By Night
Thales landed in the midst of smoke, smoke he knew were caused by burning of trees. He stared at the charred trees up ahead.
"Poor things." They didn't even do anything wrong.
The smell of beer was also in the air. The witch speculated that it was used to increase the flame.
"Since you guys like blowing things up," balls of fire formed around Thales, "how about I join you?"
The balls of fire shot towards the smoke, blasting past it and thundering on the ground. There were grunts and screams, the ball of fire returned to Thales.
He strolled into the smoke to see the effect caused. He found only two burnt bodies, the rest must've escaped because he still caught their scent vividly.
They weren't rogues but they're definitely troublemakers so it sounded like the same to him.
"A witch, huh?"
