Did he really want to know her condition? Would he do it if she told him, no matter what it'd be?
Her lips parted, but closed again. She didn't have time for this, it occurred to her that that witch still existed within her pack so she needed to flush her out when she's done.
"I think we should just discuss what you called me for, Alpha." she sat on the chair he had stretched out.
Stefan waited for her to change her mind, before leaving her side and seating opposite her. She still had her lidded emotionless eyes staring at him.
He accepted that'd it take a while to get her to open up to him but he'd keep trying. "General Conrad gave me reports earlier today about a visitor you had."
A knot tied in Laurel's stomach. The visitor must be the witch. That General must've been keeping a close eye on her recently.
