Chapter Two Hundred-Twenty-Eight – Tell
Laurel and Zeldris walked out of the Delta's quarters when Dylan returned. He had thanked the Princess again and informed that Beta Cade will begin investigation.
But Laurel knew they'd probably not get much.
Zeldris studied her before coming closer. "Do you know who attacked them? You seem to. Why didn't you tell?"
"I can't tell them because it's not my business."
Zeldris's eyes lit up, then he smiled. Of course, it wasn't her business. What ever happened to those lycans wouldn't directly affect Green Valleys.
"So you know?"
"Why don't you believe it's rogues, though?" Laurel turned to him. "Did you notice something yourself?"
The knight stepped away from her, looking away.
Laurel scoffed. Did he want her to beg for the information when she didn't even need it?
