Chapter Two Hundred-Twenty – Noisy
"So, do you see me?"
She asked when his eyes moved. She realized where it moved to and furrowed her brows. "Do you see me, Zeldris?"
Was it a coincidence that his eyes went to her lips? She leaned closer, expecting his eyes to move away but they remained, slightly softening.
"Zeldris…"
His eyes went up, meeting her own.
She tilted her head. They were locking eyes now. Didn't that mean he could see her now?
"DO YOU SEE ME!"
Zeldris suddenly snapped his head away, his cheeks and ears reddening. "I-I see you…" he trailed off, looking at nothing, while biting his lower lips.
Laurel leaned back, wondering if her voice had been too loud. "You can really see me?" That wasn't the excitement she expected from him if true.
Zeldris nodded, exhaling softly. "I see you, Princess Laurel." Then he realized. "I can actually see you!"
