Chapter Two Hundred-Six – Can't See
It was almost time for Sir Darren to visit.
Laurel had arranged a round table in the hall, with seven seats, one slightly bigger, around it for the other officials.
Since they were welcoming a Delta that wasn't originally from Green Valleys, they should make it more like a ceremony so it'd be memorable for him.
She had Jessika and her delicious food on standby. The maids knew what to do when the signal will be made.
For now, Laurel decided to read. It was a random book.
"Die, you evil villain!"
Yet, she was sure Zeldris was seeing a classic battle scene in it. And it wasn't a book with pictures.
All it was a choppy tragic romance, the type that made her stomach curl in disgust.
"Which villain do you speak of? Except if you mean the female character. She's so repulsive." Laurel closed the book and tossed it on the table.
