Chapter Hundred-Ninety-Nine – Favored One
Rage filled Amber to the brim.
No matter how reckless his actions were, he wanted to soothe the guilt in his heart, even if he paid with his life.
"You… I-I'd kill you!! I'd definitely kill you!!"
But his hands were shaking so bad that he couldn't shoot accurately at the unmoving body comfortably laying on the ground, almost asleep.
Asher squatted on the branch again, a humorous grin spreading to his lips. He could tell Zeno wasn't yet asleep.
How could he, with an arrow still in his chest, and with the archer till close?
Also Asher expected Zeno to be cautious about he and Sam, the other two on the tree who seemed harmless.
Amber slowly lowered his bow, trying to make sense of the situation. He sniffed. "How did you even… even control… How the hell are you able to use magic?!"
