Chapter Hundred-Eighty-Four – No lie
Laurel leaned further back and the 'blind' young man stretched his hand apart. "I want… a hug."
She paused, before taking two more steps back and gesturing to Lisa. This young man might have lost some nuts during his years as a slave.
"Would you mind…"
Lisa's cheeks flushed a bit, then she went in for a hug. However his hands closed and he coiled himself again.
Laurel frowned. This was no kid. He looked big that she could guess he was older than she was by years.
"Finish your tea." She reminded with a stern voice. She really wouldn't be babysitting a grownup. Blind or not.
Her eyes shifted to Lisa, who had a little frown for being rejected. Laurel patted her shoulders and Lisa left afterwards. Laurel left to feed Mira and Marino before returning to the young man. "Now, we have ascertain that you can talk too, so you're not dumb… and blind, right?"
"I am." He said quickly.
