Chapter Hundred-Seventy-Five – Livid
"I'd coach her for a week? About Green Valleys?" Laurel sipped the tea she had made for herself to buy time.
The warrior, Dylan, nodded. He had repeated the Alpha's words verbatim.
"And my punishment?" Laurel asked.
Dylan took it as she accepted the verdict because a week was ample time to show Cara her place. "Your punishment is… to coach Lady Cara about Green Valleys for a week?"
Laurel paused, the cup still on her mouth. Wasn't that the same thing as the verdict? This was just a clear invitation to treat that Cara as she'd like for the next week.
"And the Alpha added that, if you don't like the verdict, you can cancel it and it'd cancel your punishment." Baxter added, hoping to save Lady Cara by laying all the options.
Dylan smirked. Why wouldn't she like the verdict?
