Chapter Hundred-Seventy-Three – Report
Laurel's mind had been drifting to Darren's request – to Valkyrie. She hadn't even been aware of it till a notice from the Lead Warrior came that he'd ask for more details.
The Valkyrie and Jessika had then come clean to her.
As their Princess, she had shared Slime's wild story so they'd be careful when moving alone in the forest as any lycan, even High Mountains', could be wild in there.
But Jessika had told Valkyrie, orders from Darren, to send a report to Alpha Stefan that Slime, the messenger of High Moon Kingdom, had attacked the Princess.
Darren also sent report soon later that Slime attacked his pack and left a child injured, a Black Claws warriors had gone to confirm, gifting medicine and an apology.
Laurel couldn't help but feel wronged.
"If Darren had asked, I'd have made the claim myself." But as Jessika had told her, Darren was trying to leave her innocent. If only he knew.
