Chapter Hundred-Sixty-Four – Frustrated

The old man was stunned to find Ella and Darren ready to travel, while he'd been cleaning the meat.
They had a similar getup to the one he first met them in, except with cleaner flashier clothes. It made tears come to his eyes at how far they've come.
Darren patted Ella's shoulders. "We'd be setting off. I think traveling light like this will be better—"
"Carry a carriage, Sir Darren." The old man frowned. "You might still handle such long walks but Ella always suffered. She's still a kid, you know."
Darren stared at the girl and she chuckled nervously. "I can still manage…"
"Prepare a carriage then." Darren dropped his bag. "I guess I should get used to carriages too."
The old man nodded.
He knew the young master didn't live like royalty as he was born to, because of his early banishment.
