Chapter Hundred-Thirty – Leave
The place was crowded, it was hard to move. Yet Laurel managed to maneuver her way towards Cade and Jessika. Ferdinand didn't follow her.
"Cade." She called. "Did something happen?"
Jessika gazed at her with pleading eyes but Laurel didn't understand what she meant. It's been weeks since she last saw her and they had a lot to catch up on.
"I came to return her to you so you wouldn't accuse me of any other thing. She's officially freed from the kitchen." The Beta informed.
Laurel pulled Jessika from his side, towards her. "That's nice. You didn't have to, I'm sure she could walk herself."
Cade ignored her and looked up at the people swarming a hall. "What is happening here? Are they all homeless?"
Actually they were. Laurel turned to the Beta's servants. Their home had been taken by the new Beta, Cade, so they practically had no where to go.
