Chapter Hundred-Twenty-Eight – The never-ending hall
The people gathered around Laurel as she strolled towards the grand hall. Laurel laughed.
Didn't they say the place was haunted, why did they look curious to know what's in it?
Since they realized it was given to Sir Deon by the Beta, it probably made them wonder if hidden swords were kept inside, because the late Beta obsessed over swords.
She put the key inside the lock and twisted it, there was an opening sound and then a thud. Laurel backed away.
The door rang strangely, then opened by itself. If not that Laurel stood in front of it, she'd have assumed the white light that shone in the middle was the sun's reflection.
But there's no way it could be the sun because it's evening and she blocked any direct sun light. Strangely again, the inside of the hall was pitch dark.
