Chapter Hundred-Twenty-Two – Elder
Laurel took a step back. How unlucky could she get? She spun around and faced the door. Even being in the elder's presence nauseated her.
"I'd never forget how you beat me up while blaming me for the fall of our empire. Now, I'm going to be it's rise, I don't need to see your worthlessness face again!"
"What?!" the elder left his seat, pointing his cane at her. "I've lived for more than a hundred years and I can tell that this expire will fall again in—"
Laurel heard a metallic object collide with something. She turned around an found Elder Kuso on the ground nearly passed out. The older woman sat on top of him.
"Don't speak that way to a princess, you foul mouth!" she left him on the ground and smiled. "Don't mind my husband, Princess. He's a big coward."
Laurel straightened up. "Uh… yeah… I mean," she looked at the elder's condition. His wife really did a number on him.
