Three times in one week, she had had moments when she closed her eyes, lost in thoughts only to open her eyes and find someone looking at her.
Laurel washed her face with the cold water. It was too quick for her to begin overthinking like leaders did.
"Your body adapts fast." Elma teased.
Laurel groaned. Her body would sag soon, and she's only eighteen. Her eighteen year old curves hadn't formed yet, her body just skipped to late thirties.
"This is bad, Elma. I don't even sleep well while thinking of how to talk to the people." She splashed water on her face again.
There had been an announcement announcing Green Valleys as an pack under Black Claws. Laurel had been too busy to know the reaction of the people.
It'd probably be shock then happiness then relief. Then, they would begin to ask questions later.
