Chapter Eighty-Seven – Interesting
Nero who watched them, shook his head tiredly. Was the princess threatening the King? She had no idea.
The King smiled again, genuinely humored by Laurel's threat. He advanced towards her, reaching for her hair. "Is that so, Princess?" She was an interesting lady.
Laurel wanted to slap his hands off but she stayed calm.
"The daughter of the Alpha King thinks she can threaten a Lycan King?" Asher chuckled.
Laurel placed her hand on her chest. "I'm not thinking… I'm trying. I need to protect my kind." She closed her eyes. "From you."
Now that was a bolder claim and resolve. Asher twirled her hair in his hands and smiled when he saw her growing annoyed at his action. "But you can't protect all of them?"
"Obviously, but I'd protect the ones I find." Laurel held unto the girl. "I'm sure as a someone in power who has people to protect, you understand my feelings."
