Chapter Seventy-Two – Rider
Had something happened to them?
Laurel could only follow the blood trail, hoping Sorren wasn't killed because his older brother would go mad.
"Sorren?!" She called when she sighted him standing by the cliff. As she got closer she saw his hand stretched out at the edge of the cliff, the rider in his hand.
"What are you doing, Sorren? Do you want to drop him from that height—" Laurel paused her speech.
Sorren's ears were bleeding, and it won't stop despite his wolf healing. She crept closer, slowly, sensing Sorren's primal nature was active.
Could the rider had attacked him? And why?
"Where's he?"
Laurel's heartbeat quickened hearing his voice being deeper than usual. Her brain raced to decipher who he spoke of. "Stefan? He chased after some rogues, I think."
"You think?"
Laurel nodded. Was she supposed to chase after him?
"Ahh!!"
