Chapter Sixty-Six – Tea
Stefan felt unsettled on seeing the lady. Wasn't she a maid in his quarters?! He had little to no care for the maids but for one jumping around with his neighbors, it made him think of sabotage or she being a spy.
"She was trapped in your pack for a while."
Darren's words made Stefan look away from the girl, and back at him. "Trapped in my pack?"
"Yes, she had visited Green Valleys during the Princess' birthday ball. To take my land or the princess as promised. That was when you attacked, I suppose."
Stefan calmed down. So the girl wasn't from Green Valleys, and nearly became collateral damage? Still he was wary. Why didn't the girl leave all those while?
"You could have told an official." He said to Frida.
Frida resisted the urge to eye roll but she played along, according to Darren's plans. "I think it was a Beta that captured me, I was too scared to speak to him."
