Chapter Fifty-Six – Her Father
It worried Laurel, that maybe she had been too harsh on Valkyrie. It was her mate she was avenging, after all. Any werewolf would feel her annoyance.
"But you haven't tried killing Stefan for all the things he'd done to you, why should she put someone in trouble because of her mate?" Elma tsked.
"That isn't the point, you know." Laurel sighed. "Stefan is my mate in this instance, how do you think I'd avenge against him?" Her wolf stayed quiet.
Laurel sighted Jessika running towards her. The cook always looked left, right, back and upwards when moving, all in bid to make sure Beta Cade wasn't close.
She groaned when she finally reached Laurel. "Ah, your highness, I don't really think I can keep this up. My heart feels like bursting whenever I hear a footstep."
