Chapter Twelve - Sorry Meal
Laurel gazed at the door Jade just left. For the lady to come to ask her what was wrong with her fiancé, that meant she couldn't ask Stefan directly.
Was Stefan ignoring her? It made Laurel slightly glad that Jade was being hurt by Stefan as well.
"Well, she doesn't have a mate's bond with him so her feelings aren't deep. She is just a girl he decided to marry after many flings." She said dismissively.
Still, the point remained that Stefan picked that girl over her, his true mate.
His reason had lost ground also because he had executed his revenge so she was no longer his enemy's daughter. His enemy was dead.
"Are you saying, by any chance, that we should accept him if he suddenly wants us back?" Elma enquired.
Was that how she made it sound? Laurel shook her head. "If he'd want us back, he'd go through hell."
