Chereads / CONTRACTED TO BEAR THE ALPHA’S HEIR / Chapter 10 - The word, Shameless?

Chapter 10 - The word, Shameless?

She answered, unaware of the growing anger in Fernando.

"My brother is none of your concern," he replied and left the pool, not bothering to hear her words any longer. She sure was good at angering him and he wasn't going to give her the chance to keep on doing so.

"Poor mate, I thought you were smart enough. I am starting to think I was wrong," passing by her, Juliet remarked.

"Says the woman who wouldn't leave another woman's mate alone. The word, Shameless?" She retorted, not ready to let anyone take her for granted again.

"Trust me, you are the intruder here. I guess the agreement didn't open your eyes enough. I hope you are strong enough to withstand everything." Juliet said, an underlying meaning in her words.

"Ahh right, he doesn't like his brothers so don't try defending them in front of him. And Andras would make a fine lover," she said and started laughing maniacally.

Angel could only clench her fist as she watched Juliet walk away with a triumphant look. Well, wait until she becomes Luna, she was going to show her who the intruder was. And now that she was rethinking it, the relationship between Fernando and Andras looked sour.

What could be the past of his pack? There were many things to do and unveil if she wanted to secure her properties and freedom back. He did state if anyone grew tired of living with each other, they could ask for a divorce. Even though it benefitted her, why was she feeling like that particular one was for Fernando's benefit?

Ahh! She needed to sire an heir if anything would ever work. She now had power, she could easily get her properties from her father. But that wasn't enough, she needed to confirm her safety once she left with her properties.

Looking down at her stomach, she rubbed on it and thought of the baby that was soon to come out of it. She wasn't much of a fan of children, so it wouldn't hurt to leave the kid behind. He would live a good life…wait, it had to be a boy? What if her first child wasn't a boy? Then she would have to keep on getting pregnant until an heir was secured as the agreement said.

She heard of witches in human towns that were capable of helping with a child's gender, could this be the only solution? This is bad, she needed a witch to help her birth a boy on her first delivery. Yes, she was going to do that as quickly as possible and that would require a maid.

Picking up the file, she walked out of the swimming pool and found her way back into her room with the help of passersby. The pack house was bigger than her father's pack house, it was hard to figure it out on her own.

She came here unconscious so she wasn't familiar with the corners of the pack house.

She walked up to the window and opened the curtains, her smile wide as she gazed upon the children playing in the garden. The reason she never fancied having her child was because of how she grew up. She dreaded the same thing happening to her child, what if the child gets bullied?

Sighing, she walked away from the window and went to sit on the bed. Her life was going to change from today and she wasn't ready, but she would find her path amidst the thorns. The same effort she put into becoming a successful businesswoman, is the same she was going to put into fulfilling that agreement.

She was going to get what she wanted in exchange for bearing his heirs, who knew he had already prepared an agreement for her? Things were going her way and she was glad it didn't take the wrong turn.

Knock! knock!

A knock from the door broke her thoughts, prompting her to walk up to the door to open it.

"My lady! I was so worried about you!" The maid who guided her to the dining room appeared, her face full of worry as she exclaimed.

"Hi, I am fine, what about you?" Not knowing how to react to the sudden care, she awkwardly asked, confusing the maid. Suzanna felt an unfamiliar personality from her. From someone who was an Alpha's daughter, she sure had a humble personality.

She only grew more curious about how she was brought up, but she knew better than to pry.

"You should be worried about yourself My lady, you would have your Luna ceremony in five days. You Have to be fit before then," Suzanna said, breaking the news.

"So fast? I heard it takes months at least?" Shocked, she asked, wondering why they were rushing her ceremony. Could Fernando be truly uninterested in her? Not even a bit?

Then why did he kiss her back in the study room? Was this what Andras said by not falling in love with him no matter how he tried to convince her? Then she needed to be careful if Fernando was a manipulative man.

"About that…" she halted, not knowing how to reveal the truth, but Angel already knew what she wanted to say so she sighed and smiled at her.

"I understand, please come in, I need your help." Moving away from the door, she urged Suzanna to come in and went to sit by the dressing table.

"Do you know who my maid would be?" She asked.

"Oh! We usually just attend to anyone unless we are claimed by a master, that's how it works here. Alpha Fernando wanted the omega servants treated properly so he made the rule." She explained, causing Angel to nod her head repeatedly in understanding. That was quite humane of him, he wasn't that bad.

"Are you with a master already?" She asked.

"Yes, I work for Lady Juliet," she answered but Angel could detect the unease in her voice which meant Juliet wasn't a good master to her.

"But you can claim me once you become the Luna, by then you would have immense command." Suzanna pointed out.

"I can?" She repeated.

"Yes Milady, all you have to do is request for me," Suzanna responded but Angel only grew worried. Her authority could not command Juliet, it was stated in the agreement.

"Alright, I will see about it. Thanks," she answered and turned her body toward the mirror, gazing into it with eyes full of uncertainty. Her life is about to take a new turn.
