[Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at the close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.]
A humanoid figure with dark deep hair and one arm completely cut off. As the blood bursts and flows, he is consumed in rage swings and swings. Completely covered in Blood, he slices humans apart and apart until they aren't cut in half or stop their breathing as sliced body parts, and as his guts spilled over the ground, splattered even.
...
The figure suddenly falls to the ground, and his sword imbued with strange eons and ancient letters silently murmurs as his five senses go numb. His ears bleed, bleed of terror and death.
"So, They did send me to my death. I don't even know why I am killing, all this rage for what?"
...
The figure as his deep black hair flashes looks over to the sky, his face cut enough to be completely unrecognizable. He smirks as if he is trying to accept something.
'After the intense battle between the Holy Empire and the demons, a conflict in which I fought relentlessly for 150 years in human terms, I found myself surrounded by troops and even faced the heroes. I was surviving in the war while they slept in their majestic palace.'
...
He swipes his only left hand on his cheeks and rubs it a little bit. He, for a brief moment, becomes teary and while his eyebrows frown, and bites his lower lip as hard as he can.
...
'I even Single-handedly defended the five heroes, I fought valiantly, desperately seeking backup that never arrived. Despite my efforts, my memories are getting hazy, but I managed to keep the enemy forces at bay.'
He looks over to the mountains of corpses and blood pools around him, farther from there. He sees someone.
Amidst the chaos, the figure found himself betrayed by those who were supposed to offer support.
The act unfolded at a moment when Mother Lilith, the figure he had fought fervently for, briefly turned her gaze away. When the figure sought reassurance, he discovered a space where allies should have stood.
As their eyes met Mother Lilith's, he was met not with understanding but with a look of disdain.
"All the sacrifices and efforts I made for her were shattered in an instant. The damage inflicted was severe; they managed to sever six out of my seven hearts. Despite the raw rage coursing through me, the shock proved too much to bear."
"I fell into unconsciousness, and both the heroes and demons believed me to be dead.
My brothers and fellow demons celebrated what they believed to be my demise. However, the looks on the heroes' faces were different from those I once held dear."
"Maybe it was all wrong from the beginning, from the start." The figure drops to the ground.
The "hero of faith" on the front screams as he reads a sort of spell written on a bulky, covered in red blood paper.
The seal provided by the gods that supported their apostles or heroes, which granted them different types of innate power, didn't care much about the risk of the seal. They weren't laying their life on the track, the heroes were.
The seal had ancient Latin, the letter shone in dark blood, and it had a different aura than divine mana, something sinister, it was passed from the angel that had her eyes pierced with thorns.
"Was it all a fake?"
The seven heroes were skeptical but to defeat the constantly rising demonic beings and their craze for dominance. The first hero, Hero of Faith looks back and nods. The other heroes, nod at the seal.
The hero of faith chants it, as the blood oozes from his eyes, and his left hand crumbles into black dust.
The demons were laughing at the poor performance of the heroes. Afterall all they are only humans.
The first hell-borne and second-borne princes of hell, Satan and Lucifer look very bored, they wait till the chants end. Other princes are fighting among themselves, to end any competition to the throne.
Lilith, the mother of the demon kin, lunges at the heroes.
The hero chants as the seal,
"Dēmoni, Tavas netīrās būtnes, es izdzēšu visu savu eksistenci, lai izbeigtu tevi un tev lidzigos."
Lilith stops before them. It didn't work.
It took Faith's arm but it did nothing but shine for a few seconds.
Other heroes are sweating, drawn back. They are silent as any moment might be their last. The demons were shocked at the "generous" heart of the gods, some of them laughed as well. The hero starts a muffled laugh.
Lilith smirks.
The knights of the kingdom have already died or severely injured. Demons surround the seven heroes. Suddenly, the laughing hero forwards his right hand, as if he is trying to negotiate.
The Valkyrie hero and bow hero tries to stop him, but it is already late.
Lilith laughs at his face, which was down the whole time.
"Now you bow down? Isn't it already too late?"
"Bow down?" The hero replied.
"Hmm~" Lilith tilts her head at the hero.
The hero looks up slowly, his half-face has melted off, he laughs with his half-face wide and the other one is bones. "See, it's working, you filthy." Lilith tries to break free of the handshake, but she cannot.
"Leave my hand, human!"
Hero of Faith looks back with his still intact face, "Sorry you all, I tried."
As the seal starts to seal the demon kin as a whole while it takes the life of those heroes. The heroes weren't depressed or looked down even, they were smiling.
It was coming, an era of peacefulness. They might not be able to live through it, but the generation of their descendants, children, and others will.
Satan and Lucifer rush to cut Faith's hand. Before they cut Faith's hand, The bright light completely seals the demon kin.
The light rose and went deep inside the earth while the heroes were not at the sight. Those who scouted and survived, let on the stories of how the heroes sacrificed themselves.
"It's all over."
The long war was at the end but there were no cheers in the air.
Almost a century has gone by, such a disaster has passed. The battlefield, the place that echoed the cries of knights and magicians last breath, the place that took a child's laughter now bathes itself on laughter and magical beast.
...
Over time, the battlefield transformed into a beautiful scene. Vines embraced old weapons, wildflowers painted the ground, and butterflies danced among blossoms.
Ponds filled shell craters, while moss-covered ruins with an ancient charm. This takeover by nature, though slow, showed the enduring beauty that emerged from the aftermath of war.
It's been years but something still lives inside the soil, something sinister.
At the side of the park, people beasts, and pets refuse to go. They don't even want to pee there. It gives you an image that even dogs avoid that place, so there must be something.
On a certain day, after a century in this land, cats and dogs are still beefing with each other, like any lazy writing, it goes;
A few dogs chase a scared orange cat. Of course, an orange cat, it is. But, unlike, these scary creatures (orange cats) that demand food every second, it is not fat.
It looks malnourished which is very rare because orange cats have been known to rob banks and commit arson for a plate of food. It rushes with its light feet. It slides beside the tree and rushes to the bushes nearby, but the enchanted nose smells the cat nearby.
The cat tries to run away, but inside the bushes, there are thorns. The thorn picks the cat's skinny legs.
Nyaaaaaaaaaaawwww!!
It limps away but the mana circulation helps it to run for a bit. The cat is surrounded!
It cannot run anymore.
The thorns and the stimulation are too much for a starving cat. In his last attempt to survive in order not to get torn apart, he runs to the part that most of the dogs and other magical beasts avoid at any cost. The cat runs there and when he reaches the center of that side of the park, it falls as it huffs. The cat cannot take it anymore.
The dogs seem like they are wheezing too.
"Woof! Woof!"
"Woof! Wolf!" The dog wags his tail.
"Woof! Woof-" One dog seems to be laughing.
"Woof!"
"Bark! Bark!"
All of the dog seems to be agreeing on something but unless you know dog language, you can't translate and read those. Among the woofs and barks,
"Neigh!" comes out randomly.
At the back, all of the dogs look back at the fat dog that looks like a cow. They all give him, the stare of thousands of yards.
"Woof! woof~"
One of the dogs points its paw at the fat one. Maybe he is criticizing a lame joke and all the dogs ignore him. Or he is astonished by the joke the dog did, which is very clever.
The cat seems to be down, it is completely knocked out. The cat's blood falls spit gets on a part of a small purple gem that is just poking its head out of the dirt.
