Chapter 1 - The Kraken is my pet!

"The day has finally come for you students to receive your Celeste," the principal announced. The hall, once loud, turned silent. "I'm sure you all already know what a Celeste is, and if not, a Celeste is a companion you gain at the age of 15. They will stay with you until you breathe your last breath. The Celeste can fight, help, and comfort you, but it all depends on its personality which is a mixture of yours."

Rina noticed that Linda wasn't paying attention and asked, "Linda, are you even listening?"

Linda, who was shaking a weird device to elicit a reaction, didn't respond.

The principal then called out "Mizz," and a small chipmunk appeared on his shoulders munching on his nuts (don't take this out of context) and not regarding the students' strong gazes at it.

"This is my Celeste, Mizz. Mizz is a chipmunk and, as you may already know, borrowing your Celeste's powers is also possible."

As he said those words, he started running and was surprisingly faster than a blink of an eye, immediately going to another part of the stage, leaving the students amazed at his speed which almost seemed like teleportation. He also opened his mouth, revealing his enlarged chin that lets his mouth devour things larger than him.

"Now, to receive your Celeste. Repeat this message and call the name that pops up in your head to summon your Celeste."

"Celeste in my heart, reveal your name, and don't hold it apart," the principal said, and the students started reciting.

"Linda, it's time," Rina said.

"Okay, I'm going to put it down. So, what were we going to say again?" Linda asked.

"I think it was, 'Celeste in my heart, reveal your name, and don't hold it apart,'" Rina replied.

Linda took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She began reciting the message, "Celeste in my heart, reveal your name, and don't hold it apart," over and over again.

When she opened her eyes, she was surprised to see all kinds of animals around her. Hares, dogs, cats, rats, bears, and even insects roamed the hall. Linda turned towards Rina and her eyes widened as Rina had a huge polar bear behind her, standing on its two feet and radiating a majestic aura.

Linda's eyes sparkled as she stared at the polar bear. But where's her's?

"Oh! you were also supposed to say the name that came up in your head to summon your Celeste"

Linda, hearing that then thought of the name that came up in her head….

"Kraken!"

As she said those words the ground crumbled and fell apart. Huge tentacles the size of 3 buses emerged from the floor, scaring and scattering the students that sat close. Chaos erupted as the students ran for their lives while some hopped up their Celestes and fled."Quick, Linda! Get on my bear!" Rina shouted as the tentacles kept rising around them.

Linda looked up and saw that the tentacles were getting bigger and bigger. She knew that she needed to act fast if she wanted to escape.

Without hesitating, she jumped on Rina's polar bear and held on tight as they rode through the chaos of the hall. They were trying to avoid the tentacles that kept rising from the ground, but it seemed like they were getting closer and closer to danger.

Suddenly, a head emerged from the ground, and it kept rising until the roof of the hall was destroyed. The students were panicking and screaming as they tried to escape the danger.

As Rina rode her Celeste and tried to avoid the falling debris, she saw that a part of the roof was about to crush them. But before she could do anything, They were saved by the creature.

It had grown bigger and stronger, and it used its tentacles to shield them from the falling debris. Linda was amazed at how powerful the creature was.

The creature then slowly shrank in size until it vanished, leaving everyone in awe. The principal screamed, demanding to know who the owner of such a beast was. Linda looked at Rina and shook her head, signaling not to reveal. The principal's eyes narrowed as he looked at Linda, and Linda couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine.
