Jhonny looked at Qrir, his mind racing with questions. He examined himself, but there was no apparent change. Yet, Qrir's words hinted at something he couldn't see.
But the excellent eyesight of Qrir couldn't be fooled.
"I swear it seems like you've grown half a talon since I saw you a few hours ago…" Qrir said, his eyes narrowing as he stepped before Jhonny.
He eyed him up and down, lowering his head next to his, trying to remember if he bent this much or more, the last time he bent next to him. And he was sure the chick was taller.
"I'm positive. You've grown. Do you humans grow this fast? Or is something wrong?" he asked, a tinge of worry flashing in his black eyes.
Sarah interjected, trying to cover up her actions.
"Our very young kids grow quickly, depending on their age. Jhonathan must be reaching his growth spurt," she lied.
Jhonny quickly caught on to what she was mentioning.
