A flash of light caught his eyes through the barrage of magnetic sand, and Jhonny instantly knew where Henry was.
Luckily for him, Henry hadn't yet drifted too far from the ship and was still at a recoverable distance.
"Laani! Get me closer!" Jhonny shouted in his helmet, as he unlocked his comm channel.
But all he heard back was static.
"Laani! Can you hear me?!"
More static.
"Fuck! This interference is insane. I'm still connected to the ship physically, but it's like I'm miles away," he swore.
Looking at his command unit, Jhonny knew he had little time. His batteries were draining incredibly fast, as the exosuit powered the mag-boots, the heating system, and the power shield to deflect the millions of small projectiles hitting him at god-knows-what speed.
And from the flicker of light from the beacon, there wasn't much time until Henry was too far to see him anymore.
