Although the shot itself lacked the penetrative power to burst through the thick, metallic bulkheads and walls that separated its shooter from its intended target, Jhonny still grinned.
His goggles were locked into the cameras, and he could see the bullet ricochet at the exact points he needed it to for his shot to connect.
And, although logic would dictate that the bullet lose its speed through all the collisions with solid objects, Jhonny had angled his shot perfectly.
There was never a frontal impact between his bullet and the walls or ceilings, making it keep most of his momentum.
Of course, that wasn't his only ace in the hole.
"Here comes the boost," Jhonny muttered.
Laani was watching the bullet go, and could tell it wouldn't reach the target, since it lacked power. The shot angle was perfect, but the velocity was far from enough.
But when she heard those words leaving Jhonny's lips, she wondered what he meant.
