Henry was fuming inside, realizing there were so many unknown factors to his mission this time. The lack of information would lead to trouble in almost all instances of a special operation, but it could also lead to deadly outcomes.
And this seemed like a situation where death had become a genuine possibility.
He had initially thought there would be fifty to a hundred people he would need to check out for threat assessment, but this was rapidly becoming a much bigger job than that.
If a fleet admiral was here, there were at least two other ships, withholding every defence fighter star-craft they would have. This could rapidly balloon his checks from a few dozen to a few thousand.
'Wait… Joseph wouldn't have sent me here with just the kid if there was a threat outside the lab. He would have sent a complete team… I'm spiralling out. Get a hold of yourself, Henry…' he thought, trying to calm himself down.
