With all the personnel moving through the lab corridors, Henry quickly noticed many more people than he had initially calculated. His reports didn't mention the support personnel, since they were inconsequential and rarely had access to anything sensitive.
But, he realized as he watched everyone filter in that the guards and scientists were the minority amongst this lab's crew. There were so many more crew members than he had initially thought or seen, and his heart dropped.
'All these extra faces needed to be verified as well… How am I ever going to have enough time to check everyone out?'
His only available solution was one he wasn't sure he wanted to take at all.
To trust Laani completely, and used her eyes, ears, and complete database to run background checks and surveillance on each of them.
But that required him to trust Laani. Something he wasn't ready to do just yet.
