IT was an ordinary Wednesday morning.
The middle of the week.
A day of the week where people share a love and hate feelings with.
At around 6 AM, when people are either still sleeping or getting ready to leave—might be for work or school—a teenage girl was laying on the tiled floor of what seems to be a studio type apartment, a pool of blood scattered around her body and the floor.
Her clothes, which seems to be a school uniform, were torn in some parts with blood spewing out from her body.
She had been staying like that for around 49-50 hours now, however, it doesn't seem like anyone would find her very soon.
Her heart had stopped. She was not breathing anymore.
Her surrounding was such a big mess. Clothes, valuables, groceries and all her stuff were scattered around the room.
Just one look at the scene and you would know that a big fight or struggle happened there.
Suddenly, the teenage girl's fingers flinched. Her closed eyes shivered and without any warning, it suddenly opened and a big breath came out of her mouth.
"HELIANIE Veron?" An old teacher, wearing a reading glasses called out inside a classroom.
"Present!" An 18 year old girl answered as she raised her left hand.
The teacher then continued to call out the names of the other students as she lowers her head and look into nothingness.
The class started after confirming the students attendance. Helianie, however, continued to stare into nothingness until the class finishes.
She's good at acting as if she's listening to the lessons. Sometimes nodding like she understands or stares into the book as if reading, so she was never caught even once.
And even if she does get caugt, it's not like she cares.
When the bell rang for recess, she just continued to stare nowhere and never cared to any students buzzing around her.
However, a certain conversation caught her ears.
Three teenage girls were gathered around eating their snacks while chatting. Two of them were sitting on their table, their feet on the chair, while the last one was sitting correctly on her own chair.
"They found another corpse in the plaza yesterday!"
One of the girls sitting on the table said as she took a bite on her chocolate biscuit. She has short brown hair that reaches up to her shoulders, her bangs covering her almost 5 inches forehead.
"Yeah, I saw the post about it. They said it was suicide again," the girl sitting on her chair said in a gossiping tone while fixing her glasses.
"Oh God! Why are there so many people committing suicide nowadays?" The girl with the ponytail questioned as she chewed on her burger.
Helianie's eyes scowled as she focuses her ears on the conversation. However, a few moments later, her lips that had seemed to go numb from staying still for hours suddenly curved upwards.
"I heard a rumour on the internet that it wasn't a suicide, but a murder," she pointed out as she turns her head to the three.
Helianie decided to butt in on the conversation. Her face remains indifferent like she's just spewing common knowledge.
Not just the three girls, but also some students who heard what she said turned their heads towards her.
Adding to the fact that Helianie seems to always have her own world and always stares into nothing, her sudden words attracted a lot of attention.
"Well, it wouldn't be shocking if it really was. This was the 6th time after all."
Helianie then turned her head back to her table. Living in her own world once more.
The people around her were already used to her weirdness, this wasn't the first time after all, although there are still some people who feel uncomfortable around her.
However, despite her actions, the words she uttered instilled a spark of heated conversation among the students.
It was such a big deal that it even made its way to the teacher's ears, and not long after, the social media was full of such theories and speculations as well. Instilling fear to the people living near the area.
HELIANIE laughed when she read the posts and comments on the social media. She's now back to her studio type apartment and laughing hard as she reads the theories and speculations of the public.
Her head spun as she thought of what would be the reactions of the police and officials if they saw this. Just thinking of what their faces would look like upon knowing this matter makes her want to jump in happiness.
However, a few moments after laughing, she suddenly stops as she looks around her.
'They probably already knew that Helianie is alive.' She thought as she stood up from the floor. The exact floor she was laying at, dead, just yesterday. 'I must run.'
She walked over in front of the wall as she contemplated. There were 9 pictures of different people plastered on the wall in front of her. Six of these people were found dead, announced to be suicide by the police. Three of them are still not found.
"I never thought that the killer itself would be the 10th victim. Ha!" She murmured as she sighed in disbelief.
She snapped her thumb and middle fingers as she contemplated where she would run to. She had actually thought of what to do yesterday already, but the risk is a bit too high. Although, as risky as it may be, the safer it is for her.
The truth is, she showed up in school today instead of continuing on faking her death so that she could screw those people over.
It was part of the plan, but the danger was too high. They might have send people over to kill her while she's in the class. Even at this moment, as she idle around in this apartment where she died yesterday, her life was in big danger.
She snapped her finger for the final time as she made up mind on where to go.
'Yes, I should go that place.' She thought as she walked to the gas stove, bend over to open the LPG gas and open the stove. She then went to her bed where a big suitcase was place at the top and took it out of the apartment.
"Of course, I must go to the city where this mobile game simulation centred at."
"YOU said the assignment was completed successfully!"
A man—who looks to be around his early 30's—sitting behind a desk shouted at the young man in front of him.
The young man was supposed to be in his early 20's, just pass his teenage years a few years ago, but he already looks like in his late 30's because of his body full of muscles and a face that, aside from being looking way too mature for his age, has a few scars here and there.
The young man flinched at the sudden outburst and frowned.
"I... I made sure she's not breathing anymore. I... I pierce her through the heart and made a lot of holes in her body, so it's impossible that she's—"
A flying object suddenly went past the young man accompanying it with a loud thunder of roar from the middle aged man.. "Then are you telling me that the girl who came to attend that school today is a ghost! HA? You stupid f*cker!"
A woman who seems to be in her late twenties opens the door to the office only to be almost hit with the thrown object. She stood at the door stunned before looking over to the man sitting behind the table and the young man in front. She looked at them back and forth before she understood the situation and nodded.
"There's a problem, Mr. Lunez," she stated while maintaining her composure as she walked pass the young man and went in front of the table. She decided to ignore what happened as she was not the one who cause trouble.
The middle aged man, who the woman called Mr. Lunez, scowled as he sat back down and sighed, while massaging his forehead, "what is it this time?"
"A rumour that the suicides that happened in the Oktav County were actually murders is spreading fast in the social media," the woman reported in one breath. "And... there's another problem," this time she hesitated saying the report.
Mr. Lunez, who's headache got bigger when he heard about the rumour, look at the woman with his crease forehead, "continue." He responded while readying himself.
"The girl who mentioned this rumour in school a few hours ago suddenly died in an explosion cause by a gas leakage while cooking. The rumour about the suicides is getting more attention because of this."
A sudden pressure emanated inside the room from the middle aged man. The woman reporting and the young man bit their lips to endure the pressure.
"The girl..."
"Yes, sir, it's Helianie," the woman affirmed as she close her eyes for the upcoming chaos.
And just like she expected, the middle age man flew into a rage as soon a she confirmed that it was indeed Helianie.
The little girl that they took away from her parents and educated to kill people since her childhood. The little girl who turned eighteen but never awakened any abilities at all. The little girl, who they decided to get rid off just a few days ago.
