People scattered around, running about without a fixed direction. There was chaos in the crowd and I was in the midst of it all. Unlike every other Nigerian, instead of running I fell to my knees, holding both my ears as I hyperventilated.
My hands shook, my breathing quickened but it felt like no air was coming to my lungs. Memories of my nightmares came flooding in my mind, mixing with reality. I tried to get a grip of myself and move away from danger but it was futile. Every time I thought I had a hold on myself, someone from the crowd would push me. I fell on my butt many times. It didn't matter how many times my butt kissed the ground, I tried getting up and moving away from danger.
Just when I had successfully stood on my feet and moved towards a black car, someone grabbed me. I didn't get to see who it was because Rowan appeared out of nowhere to shield me from whoever it was. I don't know what exactly he did because he held me to chest.
