" It's probably nothing serious," Rowan said as he stood. He was already approaching the door when I said in desperation,
" Don't open the door."
" There is no reason to be scared, darling. I have my security surrounding this hotel. We are safe." He said to assure me but I could still feel fear course through my body. Loudly, Rowan asked. "Who is there?"
" Room service." Came the voice of a man from the other side of the door. Still, that didn't stop Rowan from walking towards the door, leisurely like nothing bad was going to happen.
" Haven't you watched action movies? This is how it goes. They pretend like they are room service and boom! Everyone in the room is shot to death." Despite my attempt at convincing him to not open the door, he only smiled.
"Relax, darling. I'm here if anything goes wrong." He said before reaching for the door. What happened next was all of my fear rolled up together.
