"Hello Austin." I answered with sarcasm laced in my voice as he had forgotten to greet me.
" Amanda." There was urgency in his voice. Worried about what could be the problem, I asked him.
" What is the problem?" I noticed how Rowan turned to face me, looking calm as always, like he was not curious about what was happening.
"Just answer me, Amanda. Where are you?" He asked me again, ignoring my question.
" I don't know!" I yelled as I felt the urgency in Austin's voice sip into me. My heart raced, wondering if something dangerous happened.
" What do you mean by you don't know?" He asked. I could hear the frustration in his voice.
"Yes! Rowan took me to a—" Before I could finish speaking, Rowan took the phone from me.
"She is somewhere safe. You don't have to be worried about her. I'm with her." He said curtly and hung up!
