Seeing how hideous grandma looked at the moment, I couldn't hold the laugh that escaped my throat as I watched her. I helped her wipe her tears. "Don't forget to act like a lady. Everyone is watching you." Grandma whispered to me and I quickly composed myself.
I couldn't believe I was to be queen. Everything still felt surreal. Grandma hugged me one last time and walked away. As she did, the queen approached us where we stood and she hugged me. "Welcome to the family Adara." She said and I nodded.
I would soon be a part of the royal family, it is high time I get used to them.
