Once Evren was out of sight I hurried back to my room to prepare for the job he talked about. I couldn't miss it today, not for anything in the world. I was the happiest girl in Fillatown today. I was about to be employed by someone after months of searching for a job.
As I walked through my closet to get an outfit I heard my room door open my new maid Zara walked in with a box and a flower in her hands. "A gift for the lady." She announced and I stepped out of my closet staring at her and the gift she had in her hands.
"What is that," I asked watching her place the gift on the table along with the flowers.
"A gift for the lady," Zara repeated with a smile. Seeing her here made me remember Agnes and I wondered what must have happened to her. I'll find out soonest.
I stared at the rose flower. The red and white rose mixed together looked enticing and no matter how hard I tried to resist it I couldn't.
