Amelin rubbed her eyes, yawning. With her arms crossed, she stared fixedly at Edward.
"I was talking to Nindia, wanted to know how things are at the academy, in case something happened," Edward replied, turning to face Amelin.
"Nindia? Ah, so that's the name of that fox?" Amelin said, stretching. She continued, "It makes sense to have summoned her since you've achieved this level of connection so quickly, especially from a spirit that doesn't trust almost anyone."
"Yeah, although I don't even know how I managed that since she's almost always asleep," Edward said, sitting at the edge of the bed.
"Exactly, that's why these spirits would only remain in such a vulnerable state if they were completely loyal to their master, so it's really surprising," Amelin said, giving a slight smile with her hands clasped behind her head.
