"Wake up, Edward... Wake up, my dear master... Come on, wake up, Master Edward." The one speaking was Litty, with a gentle and warm voice floating near his left ear.
'Why the hell did I say master?... Damn it, making a goddess lower herself so much. Argh, I'll never do that again.' Litty thought before noticing small signs of Edward's awakening.
Edward then open his eyes, closing them again because they hadn't adjusted to the light. However, it didn't take long for him to finally adapt. Looking around, he realized he was inside a carriage, and through the window, he saw it was moving on a road either through or alongside a forest.
But what surprised him was when he looked at himself, dressed in black noble attire with red details.
"So, you liked it, huh? Hm-hm, it took a bit of effort in my current state, but everything worked out... Naturally, of course, there was no way I could go wrong," Litty spoke, hands on her hips, floating near his ear.
"So, did I possess someone's body?" Edward asked, looking at Litty.
"No, no! You were born as a baby in this world. I just tweaked the time flow a bit before reincarnating you," Litty flew to Edward's right shoulder, sitting on it and continued, "Because I'm sure you wouldn't want to go through your entire childhood again, constantly with some teacher by your side. Since you couldn't enjoy life at the academy in the demon realm, this would be the perfect time to continue from where you left off, with no demon king or army attacking you."
"In short, I returned the future you said was taken from you. I'm good at this, aren't I?" Litty spoke, wiggling her little fingers on Edward's shoulder, displaying a proud smile.
"Hmm, yeah, you're right. It would've been horrible to go through all the trauma I had as a baby..." Edward shook his head, starting to stroke his chin.
"Hurm, hurm, of course. And you haven't seen anything yet. When I tell you about this world, you'll be amazed," Litty said, now noticing Edward's finger stroking her head, making her release a small sigh of relief.
'Wait, there's something wrong with this...' Litty thought, flying away from Edward, going directly in front of him, pointing her finger, and saying, "Enough of the silly talk; let's get to the main point."
"Alright, I'm all ears," Edward said, giving a final look around. Having heard no complaints so far, it seemed that nobody outside this cabin could hear them, making him smile, realizing that she really did expedite everything for him.
"This world is a web novel created by a human from your original world, and you, Edward, are just an side character. From the beginning to the end of the story, you didn't even get a scratch. I made sure of that. So, all you have to do is enjoy your life from now on, study at the academy, go to the capital, inherit your father's business, and if any unforeseen obstacles appear, being someone who easily defeated a demon lord, you can deal with them without attracting any unwanted attention," Litty spoke, sitting in mid-air with her hand on her chest, looking at Edward's surprised expression.
Edward reached his hand to Litty, who gave a small tap on her head with two fingers. "Being demoted really made you quite competent, huh? I'm genuinely impressed."
"See? I told you there wouldn't be a single problem. Last time, I was just too relaxed..." Litty spoke, looking a bit sad but quickly puffing her chest up again.
"In reality, there is a problem... I don't know anything about this world since you skipped all my study parts. I don't remember anything," Edward spoke, looking pensive.
"Do you think I didn't think of that? Of course, there's nothing to worry about; I'm here, and I'll explain everything you want to know," Litty sat on Edward's head, crossing her legs and arms, continuing, "When I said to enjoy life, I meant it. No one sees or hears me except you, so you already know where I'm going with this, right?"
"Look, bringing you as a familiar might end up being better than I expected," Edward spoke, reclining in the carriage seat, looking out the window. "If what you said is true, then this carriage..."
"Yes, that's right. It's heading to Dantrian Magic Academy, the only place you need to avoid the protagonist. So be aware of that. For the lifestyle you want, you can't get involved in anything too grand. Remember that," Litty spoke with a heavy tone, holding Edward's hair.
"Relax, I never liked flies, so there's no reason for you to want to surround me with them. I already made that mistake once, and I won't do it again."
