The reaction that followed Edward's test was as follows:
"He didn't have a potential of seven, right? Only someone with good aim could pull that off?"
"Are you surprised by this? He fired ten continuous shots."
"He missed two shots, didn't he? So, it must be good aim."
"He has a very high stealth ability, so it's not strange that he has a strong mind. Must be a family thing."
"Why are you talking about potential? The other one didn't show a huge number, right? And look at how he lost because of a weak punch."
"Tsk," the glasses-wearing boy clicked his tongue, looking at Edward with an air of superiority. "Black Bullet is a magic even a child can learn, and Continuous Shot is easy. The only good thing is its aim, and mine is better."
"Someone, please break this jerk's glasses again?" The students who were focused on Edward before now began to mock the glasses-wearing boy.
"If it was so easy, why did you only hit six targets?"
Meanwhile, the professor next to Edward spoke, "I don't know who trained you or if it runs in the family, but your eyes are really good. For a tricky magic like this, they significantly increase your advantage. Depending on the fight, they might even secure a victory. And I say this not just for you, Edward, but for everyone I've seen with good eyes."
'What he did... Wow, so that's why he was so confident,' Amelin thought, looking at Mine with her eyes shining while maintaining a broad smile.
"Hey, Amelin, did you see that too? If I had focused a bit more, I would have hit all of them" Sillian said, rubbing the palm of his hand with his thumb.
"After tormenting me, what are you doing, drawing attention to yourself?" Litty spoke while standing on Edward's head, pulling his hair and continuing, "I'll make you bald, then everyone will really be looking at you."
"I said I wouldn't be the worst or the best, remember? So, stop it; it's starting to hurt," Edward said, walking back to his place.
Litty let go of his hair, sitting cross-legged and huffing, "What do you mean? You practically made a perfect ten; three centimeters is nothing."
Litty began to nervously tap her finger on her right knee, letting out a sigh, "And most others did at most seven perfect shots..."
"These nobles think differently than you... being surpassed by me? Never. For them, eight or seven makes no difference, at least in their own little world," Edward spoke, stopping next to Sillian, who smiled at him while pointing her finger at his chest.
"I'll stay quiet; there's no use in saying anything," Litty spoke, turning to the side, watching the professor call another student. However, unlike what she thought, he showed no reaction to Edward's previous result. 'So, that's what he was talking about?'
"You cheater, used one of their tricks just to beat me, right? It's the second time today. Soon my pride will be scattered on the floor," Sillian said, poking Edward's chest with her finger. "Next time, let's bet something because now I know I can't go easy on you."
"You say that, but you took the test before we even started this competition," what Edward said made Mine let out a small laugh, while Amelin patted Sillian's shoulder.
"Urghh... third time defeated, now with words," Sillian lowered her arm, turning to the professor, feeling many eyes directed at them. Clicking her tongue, she confirmed by making a scissor sign with her fingers, "If you need help with insects, I can assist. I know how to eliminate them without damaging the area."
"Insects? If there were really any here, the academy's reputation would plummet. After all, they're disgusting," Amelin said, starting to walk towards the professor.
"Geez, I'm trying to be concise here, and she drops one of those," Saellin said, feeling the gazes gradually diminishing. He continued, "But, as I mentioned before, if you need help, you can call me. If you keep ignoring them, sooner or later, they'll cause some trouble."
"Don't worry about that; I don't have blood that's so attractive to them," when Edward finished speaking, he felt a tug on his left sleeve.
"Amelin is starting now; let's pay attention," Mine said, releasing Edward and focusing her attention on Amelin.
"The result is quite obvious, especially after she saw your trick... I didn't expect continuous shots to help in this way," Sillian said, crossing her arms. "If you wanted to help her, you should have just told her. She's not as closed off as you think."
"Helping? No, not at all. I'm feeling used now that you've figured it out. I won't have an advantage next time," Edward said, looking at Sillian.
'Ripple... disrupting the vortex at the moment of the shot, causing an overload, increasing the explosion force when it leaves the user,' Amelin thought, sighing deeply, and firing ten continuous shots that not only hit the center of the targets but continued through the wall for an additional one meter and seventy-two centimeters.
"I knew she's perfect for this," Edward said with a broad smile, raising his hand above his head, touching Litty. "Do you get it now, or do I need to explain the little change in my plans?"
