Alice and Tony were sitting in the cafeteria drinking hot cocoa.
Warming her clammy palm with the mug, Alice gradually got hold of herself.
"How are you doing? Any better?" Tony asked.
"Much better. Thank you, Tony," Alice nodded.
"Good. You don't need to keep thanking me," Tony beamed.
The sight of her blush curved his lips up even more, "I've already talked with a girl from the student union. She told me about Mr. Cook and how much she wanted to report him, but she lacked the courage. And now, knowing you've been through the same ordeal, she decided to speak out and show everyone who he really is. So, I'm going to ask you, are you ready to testify beside her?"
"Yes, I am. I'm doing this so that no more girls will fall victim to him," Alice said as she took a deep breath.
Tony looked at her with growing admiration, "You are way tougher than you look."
He had been drawn by her unique character: meek but not weak.
