When Alice came home after school, she saw Daniel sitting on the sofa with a furious look.
She was puzzled, "Who made him upset? He seems to be very angry. He usually gets off work later than I do. Why did he come home so early today with the lights off?"
Though she was puzzled, she didn't want to speak to him. She placed the bookbag on the shelf and headed towards the kitchen to make dinner.
"Come here." Daniel's cold voice came from the dark living room. He sounded scary.
Alice paused for a moment and answered without turning her head, "I'm busy cooking. Let's save it for later."
Her instinct told her that Daniel had something in his mind. She should wait until he calmed down.
While she was stepping aside, she heard him rushing towards her.
Immediately, he grabbed her by her wrist and pushed her against the wall.
"What are you doing, Daniel?" Alice struggled.
