"Are you tired of me?" He dumped the folder onto the floor and pulled her into his arms, his eyes woeful.
"No, why would you think that? I was just too busy." Seeing the pitiful look on Shane's face, Wyonna dispelled the last bit of annoyance in her heart and said with a grin, "When did you arrive? Why don't you even tell me about it?"
"I've been here since you left Pennvale; I've been there at every book signing of yours; I've always been in the crowd, staring at you. I knew you didn't want to see me, so I just stood there, effacing myself." There was some reproach in his tone.
"You wore a pink dress at the first book signing. Your combed up your hair and wore a pearl hairpin. You were in white in Jericho Province. You wore your hair down with a bow for decoration..." As Shane recalled, he took his cellphone out to show her the pictures to prove himself.
Seeing the pictures, Wyonna softened towards him.
