Wyonna had been taken to the ER. Chloe was right about it. Wyonna needed a blood transfusion, but the hospital didn't have enough units of Rhesus blood on hand.
"Excuse me, nurse, I have the same blood type as her. I can donate my blood," Mrs.
Green said.
The nurse hesitated. "Right, ma'am. But...what we're talking about here is a large amount of blood. I'm afraid you may not meet the eligibility criteria."
Wendy, too, was worried that it might be too much for Mrs. Green. But before she could express her concern, Wani walked up to Mrs. Green and held her hand. "Grandma, it's too much of a risk. Our reconciliation didn't come easy. And if, God forbid, something goes wrong, what am I gonna do?"
Wani was stalling for time. If Wyonna wasn't treated with a transfusion in time, she might go into shock or even die. Oh, that couldn't be better.
Mrs. Green just felt the need to save Wyonna, despite hearing what Wani said.
