It took me two hours to get there and when I did, I saw horror. The carriage was covered in blood and dead bodies. There was the smell of blood everywhere but I couldn't find Hemera. I couldn't even smell her blood. I went to the forest nearby and saw so many bodies lying there.
"She was here," I said. Her scent still lingered around.
"Maybe she is nearby," Kai suggested.
Yes, maybe; or maybe they have done something to her. The first time I lowered my guard with her she got kidnapped. I should have just left her at Crescent Moon. Maybe she would be safer there.
