Chapter 26 - The Wooden Wall Exploded

Mu Sae mainly cultivated physical attacks, there was no one in the sect better than her at martial arts, but she also knew some powerful spells that could even kill a cultivator at a higher level than her.

The problem here was that Mu Sae had pushed her body to the limit to climb the wooden wall, she didn't even have the strength to stand, she lied to Su Minwa saying that she could still go on.

"You're really powerful, senior sister, but you can rest now," said Dong Bai, directing his hand towards Mu Sae's face.

A yellowish light appeared in Dong Bai's palm – he was ready to use the Spiritual Wooden Thorns, his intention was to impale Mu Sae.

Despite the risk to his life, Mu Sae put a smug smile on his face and spoke in a voice trembling with fatigue:

"You shouldn't let your guard down like that…"

By the time Dong Bai realized it, it was too late. A leg struck Dong Bai's face at an absurd speed, sending the young man flying and crashing to the ground.

Of course, Dong Bai must have been watching the pair of girls for some time to learn about them and find out what their weaknesses were. According to what Dong Bai saw, Sun Minwa hated fighting, she gave the impression that she was someone who only mastered healing spells.

But the reality was that Su Minwa was very dangerous, but because she really hated fighting, she hid her strength. There was only one thing that would make Su Minwa attack like that: someone trying to hurt Mu Sae.

Quickly, Su Minwa wrapped Mu Sae's arm around her neck and mounted her Flying Sword.

Su Minwa's kick directly hit Dong Bai's chin, and considering that he was weaker than them, it would be a while before he got up... but that thought changed when they saw several Spiritual Wooden Thorns coming towards them.

Su Minwa used a protection spell and returned to the ground, still supporting Mu Sae's body.

"Min, it will be better for you if you run away."

Although she was strong and wanted to protect her friend, Su Minwa couldn't kill unless it was a very serious situation. And killing someone would destroy her psyche, Mu Sae knew that.

"It's all my fault, I wasn't worthy to cross the wooden wall and I even slowed you down, Min, so I need to make it up to you."

Mu Sae's body moved and pulled away from the other girl. When Su Minwa tried to hold Mu Sae's body again, she was surprised by a kiss on the cheek that left her stunned.

"Leave it to me, Min," said Mu Sae using all her strength to stand up.

Dong Bai glared at her. Everyone knew about the strange rumors circulating about Mu Sae and Su Minwa. Any man's dream was to have Su Minwa's affection for himself, and to see her being touched by Mu Sae all the time was annoying.

"Because of your actions, I won't allow you to die a slow death," said Dong Bai with his arrogant tone.

Mu Sae's body glowed after Su Minwa used a stamina recovery spell on her. The spell wasn't very useful, almost all healing or recovery spells needed some time to take effect on the target.

Therefore, the spell cast on Mu Sae would only serve to make her bear the weight of her own body.

The two girls had brought some pills, but they were all consumed by Mu Sae as she tried to climb the wall... this also made Mu Sae feel guilty.

Vosh!

Dong Bai attacked with more Spiritual Wooden Thorns, to which Mu Sae jumped a few times to dodge and advance towards the young man.

Despite having the upper hand, Dong Bai still retreated a little, because Mu Sae could use very dangerous techniques if she got too close.

"Nice try, but now you're exactly where I wanted you."

Dong Bai raised both hands and made the ground shake. The earth cracked, and two wooden rods appeared next to Mu Sae. From the end of the rods, several vines emerged and began to wrap around her arms and legs.

"It's a spell that a cultivator at Qi Condensation I Stage would be able to escape, but it seems that's not the case with you," teased Dong Bai.

Mu Sae was like an insect caught in a spider's web. Her strength wasn't enough to escape the vines.

Dong Bai's lustful gaze was directed at Su Minwa, he had no interest in Mu Sae, it would even be better to leave her tied up there, it would even be torture for her.

"Well, senior sister Su Minwa, I'd like to be rewarded for the time I had to put up with Su Login. It's a good thing he's gone now, I was able to take a load off your back."

Su Minwa's expression suddenly changed. Su Login and Mu Sae were the most important people in her life, she wouldn't allow anyone to touch them.

"So… you were the one bullying my brother, weren't you? He never said anything, but I was sure someone was doing cruel things to him. You're terrible, Su Login already had several broken bones and always said he'd hurt himself in training..."

Dong Bai made a sadistic smile on his face and spread his arms.

"I was just teaching him how the world works, hehe. Don't worry, now Su Login is no longer a burden to you…"

The moment Dong Bai stopped talking, the wooden wall next to them began to crack little by little and finally...

Booooooooom!!!

The wooden wall exploded, sending Dong Bai and Su Minwa flying away. Several pieces of wood flew off and dust clouded to everyone.

Mu Sae struggled to try to stay by Su Minwa's side, but it was no use, she wouldn't be able to break free of her own accord.

"What the hell was that?!" Dong Bai shouted as he got up, he was completely dirty after the fall.

"I didn't think there were people here, and even more people I knew."

A calm, confident voice echoed through the air, making everyone's eyes widen. The three people there were sure they had heard this voice before.

"It can't be...," muttered Mu Sae.

The person who appeared in everyone's field of vision after the dust had settled was the stranger in the white fox mask and black clothes.

For some reason, his presence was even more oppressive... and Mu Sae found him even more attractive than before.
