Almost instantly, Daelen appeared beside me on one knee, with his head bowed.
"Daelen, can you please repeat to me the name of our other guest?" Sylvan asked, his expression calm, but the veins on his face seemed to be bulging out more than normal.
"Tryst," Daelen said without raising his head, and I felt the tension in the room rise.
Sylvan raised his hand, and a purple magic circle appeared over the top of Daelen. In the next moment, Sylvan waved his hand down, and the spell activated. Daelen was crushed to the ground, and let out a yelp of pain.
Not a single person in the room batted an eye, so I just stayed quiet. This was clearly none of my business, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly entertained. However, something about watching someone else discipline Daelen didn't 100% sit right with me. It was a complicated feeling.
