In the direction the King had pointed, a woman so beautiful that it felt wrong to even look at her, stepped out of the shadows. She wore an evergreen dress that looked to be made of more plant than actual fabric. Long golden hair flowed down her back and over her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled with a wisdom that seemed to go beyond mere mortal understanding. It was evident that she was not an ordinary visitor.
"Gideon, my love, it's good to see you again," the woman said, her voice carrying a soothing melody that resonated through the throne room.
It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who this was, but as far as I knew, I had never met this woman before this. I also felt like it was a bit early for pet names, but I wasn't going to argue about that right now.
